Gods, Lizards and Crop Circles
rattlesnakes, gila-monsters and scorpions
know when to hide
from electrical storms that
seemingly come out of nowhere.
Meanwhile…
a gecko suns himself
in the early morning light
on the head of a Moai statue
on Easter Island.
At the same time…
a boil weevil finds
the only acorn in the
middle of a crop circle
in a field of wheat.
Simultaneously…
the stars, the sun and the moon
align themselves in the exact formation
as they have always done for centuries
over Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Giza.
All these things affect the tides
and the lives of butterflies.
